 Raisin Pudding Cake Recipe

Raisin Pudding Cake Ingredients:
  • Pudding:
  • 2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
     
  • Cake:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Raisin Pudding Cake
Time: 1 hour

Serves: 10

Raisin Pudding Cake Instructions:

  • Combine boiling water, brown sugar, raisins and 1 T. butter, simmer for 15 minutes. Add vanilla and set aside. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together 1 T. butter and white sugar. Add remaining dry ingredients alternating with the milk. Pour cake batter into a 9x13-inch baking pan and gently pour pudding mixture on top, making sure your raisins are distributed evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.

Raisin Pudding Cake Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 30 - 40 minutes.
  • Leave to cool before serving.
  • Store in an airtight cake tin.
Raisin Pudding Cake Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Tea or Coffee.
