 Pecan Streusel Squares Recipe

Pecan Streusel Squares Ingredients:
  • Crust:
  • 3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
  • Filling:
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cup chopped pecans

Pecan Streusel Squares
Time: 2 hour
Serves: 14

Pecan Streusel Squares Instructions:

  • For Crust: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups butter until mixture is crumbly. Reserve 2-cups of the crumbs. Press remaining crumbs into bottom and 1-inch up sides of a 13x9x2-inch oven-proof dish or baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. For Filling: Combine 1/4-cup of the reserved crumbs and the filling ingredients in a bowl. Pour over pre-baked crust. Bake 10 minutes longer at 400 degrees. Remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over filling. Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until filling is set and crumbs are golden brown. Cool slightly in dish or pan. Cut into squares. Serve warm or cooled with a topping of whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.

Pecan Streusel Squares Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 55 - 60 minutes.
  • Allow to cool a little before serving. Store in an airtight container.

  • Serve with Tea or Coffee.
  • Great at Christmas Parties.
