 Shortbread Cookie Recipe

Shortbread Cookie Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2  1/2 Sticks butter - refrigerated, cut into 10 pieces
  • 2  1/2 cup All purpose flour

Shortbread Cookie
Time: 1 hour
Serves: 12

Shortbread Cookie Instructions:
  • Heat the oven to 275F.
  • Place sugars in food processor and process until very fine then add butter and pulse until sugar disappears.
  • Add flour then pulse until no dry flour particles are left.
  • the mixture should be moist and crumbly, Now place mixture plastic bag.
  • press together to form dough; knead lightly until dough holds together.
  • Remove from bag. Shape dough into i-inch balls.
  • Place on unbuttered cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Flatten each with a cookie press, fork. or the bottom of a glass lightly moistened with water. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until pale golden. Remove from cookie sheets.
  • Leave to cool completely on wire racks.
Shortbread Cookie Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 1 hour.
  • Store in a Cookie Jar.
Shortbread Cookie Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Tea or Coffee.
  • Great at Christmas Parties
