 Apple Cookies Recipe

Apple Cookies Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (opt.)
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 1 cup raisins
     
  • GLAZE:
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon orange juice or apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Apple Cookies
Time: 30 min
Cookies: 16

Apple Cookies Instructions:
  • Cream shortening and brown sugar, add remaining ingredients in order shown, mix well.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonful on un-greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • To make the glaze just combine the ingredients for the glaze together.
  • Glaze while slightly warm
Apple Cookies Cooking Time:
  • Cooking time 12 minutes.
  • Leave to cool a little before serving.
Apple Cookies Serving Instructions:
  • Serve with Tea or Coffee
